Courses & Teaching

Has taught in all 4 years of the nursing program. More recently has been teaching health and healing lectures in years 1 and 4. Team Lead for year 1 students, member of the FHSD EDI Committee and is active with other committees within the school of nursing. Supports students and clinical instructors in the acute care practice setting.

Biography

I began my nursing career working on medical and surgical units at Kelowna General Hospital and, in 2010, began my teaching career with UBC Okanagan. I continue to work with KGH as a casual med-surg educator. 
I am a member of the FHSD EDI Committee, as well as multiple SoN committees. 
                                                                                                                                                                                                                         
Courses & Teaching: Courses include acute care clinical experiences and lecture courses across years 1-4. Laura has also worked as the Practice Placement Coordinator and in Team Leader roles.
